Matahari Terbit 18 Jam, Mohamed Salah Tetap Puasa di Final Liga Champions


Bintang Liverpool, Mohamed Salah menolak membatalkan puasanya selama bulan Ramadan, termasuk saat tampil di final Liga Champions melawan Real Madrid di Kiev, Sabtu (26/5/2018) atau Minggu dini hari WIB.
Seperti diberitakan surat kabar Mesir, Al Masry al Youm, Salah menolak permintaan klub untuk membatalkan puasanya. Salah meyakinkan Liverpool kalau puasa tidak akan mempengaruhi performanya di final Liga Champions.

Pemain berusia 25 tahun tersebut yakin bisa berpuasa lebih lama dari biasanya. Di Kiev, Ukraina, puasa berjalan lebih lama, yakni 18 jam.
Sebagai Muslim, eks pemain AS Roma itu ingin berpuasa penuh selama satu bulan penuh. Bila memenangkan Liga Champions saat berpuasa, Salah berjanji bakal mengurbankan tiga ekor sapi di hari raya Idul Fitri.
Keputusan Salah berpuasa saat final Liga Champions didukung penuh pelatih Timnas Mesir, Hector Cuper. Dia sudah mengirim ahli gizi untuk memantau keadaan Salah yang juga bakal tampil di Piala Dunia 2018
"Federasi sepak bola Mesir sudah menyewa ahli gizi untuk membantu saya dan para pemain selama bulan puasa Ramadan," katanya, dikutip dari Ball.ie.
"Kami akan mengatur dan memantau makanan, serta jam tidur mereka. Kami sudah mencari cara terbaik untuk mengatasi kelelahan pemain saat berpuasa," ujar Hector Cuper mengakhiri.
